|
Helene Walford attended the University of Victoria, where she received her law degree in 2000. While completing her studies, she also worked as a coordinator at Anawim House, a community resource for the homeless. She articled with the Legal Services Society, working in the areas of poverty law, criminal law, family law, and immigration law. Ms. Walford was called to the bar in June 2001 and now practices general civil litigation with an emphasis on motor vehicle accident cases, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. She also practices sexual assault litigation and criminal defence and has experience in Aboriginal law. Ms. Walford is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. She has successfully represented clients at administrative tribunals and mediations, as well as in the B.C. Provincial and Supreme Courts. In her spare time, Ms. Walford enjoys skiing, camping, motorcycling, and playing the piano.
